FAQs

  • How can I start?

It's easy! You just have to fill in the free trial lesson form here and I will contact you to determine a good date and time for us to meet. If you prefer, you can also book lessons directly without having to take the trial class.

  • What is the trial lesson?

The trial lesson is completely free and lasts approximately 30 minutes. During this time we will meet and see what needs and objectives you have. Everything related to classes will be explained and any type of doubt will be resolved.

  • What are my Spanish lesson like?

The duration of the classes for children and teenagers is 50 minutes. However, in the case of younger children, the class can last between 30-50 minutes during the first weeks until they adapt to the pace of the class; all depending on the age and phase in which they are. All courses are based on the interests, needs and objectives of each learner and have a very dynamic, practical and playful nature.

  • What methodology is used in the classes?

Since children and adolescents learn differently, the approach to learning will differ in terms of  structure, materials, dynamics, etc.

As for children, materials and activities will be adapted to their level and age, always taking into account their cognitive, social and emotional development. Mainly, they will work on projects related to their interests and knowledge pertaining to their particular development stage.

Alternatively, teenagers will work with materials appropriate to their language level, interests and objectives. Being a private and tailor-made class, you'll be able to share your specific goals with me and I will adapt the lesson to fit your needs, incorporating your previous knowledge as a starting point. Recognizing the skills you already possess in your native language, and perhaps others as well, will help you in your comprehension of how the Spanish language works. My goal is that as you immerse yourself fully in the Spanish language, you'll understand how your language works in relation to Spanish, thereby avoiding common linguistic errors.

  •  Can I leave my child alone during a lesson?

Of course, that is the idea. My goal is that your child is at all times aware of their own learning process and pace, gaining self-confidence little by little. However, good communication and cooperation between parents and teacher is needed to provide the child with all the resources and materials required in class (computer, camera, microphone, materials for activities, printing of cards, etc.). Good organization makes everything easier.

  • What communication platforms are used?

We use Zoom, so far the best training platform. Once you reserve your place for the course with its weekly date and time, we will connect to the platform through a link that I will provide you or through my call through the Zomm app. Remember: the platform is very easy to use. You and your child will not have any problem accessing and learning Spanish online.

  • Are the lessons individual or can they be in a group?

We offer individual and group classes. If you want your child to learn Spanish in small groups, write to me and we will see the options. Consider the option that your child can create his or her own group with a family member, friend or schoolmate who also wants to learn Spanish. This is a very good option for your child, in addition to being cheaper than individual classes.

  • How much time is needed to improve the level of Spanish?

It all depends on the context and the frequency in which Spanish is learned. For both children and adolescents, the greater the contact and interaction with the Spanish language, the greater the learning. Do not forget that a very important factor is the motivation to learn Spanish. This will make you enjoy the lessons and learn at a faster pace. My purpose is that you feel motivated at all times.

  • How do I pay for the classes?

Payment for the lessons can be made via bank transfer or with Paypal, both of which are fast and safe payment methods. When you book the lessons here, I will immediately send you an email informing you of the two payment options, how they work and what my Paypal and bank account, in order to make the corresponding payment. All lessons will be paid in advance. Lesson changes may be made, but refunds will not be issued.

  • How can I cancel or change a lesson?

To cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give 24 hours advanced notice. This will allow me to restructure my work schedule in order to offer you the best service.

Each package of 10 classes will have 1 FREE CANCELLATION for reasons of illness or vacation (with the exception of Christmas, Easter and summer, which will be communicated in advance).

In the case of a CHANGE of a class, you can change the day and time within the same or next week to recover the class, as long as there is availability on both parties.

  • What happens if I'm late for class?

It can happen to all of us. If possible, please notify me via email in the event that you are running late. Once the class begins, the remaining time will be calculated at 50 minutes. That is, if you arrive 10 minutes late, 40 minutes of class will be taught.

  • What happens if I don't show up for class?

Ideally, please let me know if you will not be able to attend class, even if it's only 1 hour before. In principle, if you have not notified 24 hours in advance, the lesson will be given.

  • Do class packages expire?

The idea is that they do not expire. But, yes, the packages have a maximum duration of 6 months from the date of purchase.

If you have more questions, do not hesitate to contact me through the contact form.

I would be glad to help you!
